Marathon Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. has an opening for a Project Surveyor to manage surveying projects for the company. This management position will include management of survey field personnel, scheduling of field work, oversight of survey documents, preparation to meet project deadlines, proposal preparation, and assistance to engineering project managers. A qualified candidate must possess a professional surveying license in NJ, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing survey projects in NJ. The surveyor will be in responsible charge of preparation of survey documents to be utilized for engineering projects, as well as stand-alone survey projects. Knowledge of the land use regulations applicable to projects in NJ (subdivision filing requirements, etc.) is required, as are excellent communications skills and existing relationships with reviewing authorities and consultants. It is anticipated that the person who will join the Marathon team as a project surveyor will assist our engineering group with the addition of survey technology to the firm, nurture our existing client relationships, provide them with responsive and quality service, and possibly have their own clients that choose to follow them to Marathon for their future needs. Salary is commensurate with experience.
