On June 30, 2016, the Permit Extension Act was extended for one additional year as it applies to certain permits/approvals issued for sites and projects located within the following nine New Jersey counties most severely impacted by Superstorm Sandy: Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Union. If you have a permit or approval that was valid between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2016, that permit/approval may have been extended by the Permit Extension Act but is set to expire on June 30, 2017.
