Site/Civil Engineering and Land Use Permitting
KINGSWAY REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Expansions
Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey
In 2009 the Kingsway Regional School District identified the need for expanded educational facilities to accommodate the rapid growth of population in the region of Gloucester County the District serves. After multiple attempts, a referendum approving the funding for the need expansion was approved in 2011. Marathon Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. has served as Kingsway’s resident engineering and environmental services consultant since 2009 and worked with the District and their consultants to develop a plan for expansion of their facilities including building additions to the existing High School and Middle School buildings, an updated traffic circulation plan, expanded parking facilities and upgraded stormwater management systems. In addition to the work specific to the school expansion projects, we are also in the process of preparing a facilities master plan for bus circulation and storage, grounds equipment storage and athletic facilities and storage upgrades.
As part of the approval process for the site construction work, Marathon assisted Kingsway by preparing and submitting the required application documentation for a Review and Recommendation from the Township Joint Land Use Board, addressed the requirements of Executive Order 215 for Environmental Impacts since state funding was used, and obtained Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan Certification from the County Soil District.
