SITE PLAN AND PERMITTING
PLATINUM CAR WASH
City of Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey
Marathon Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. (Marathon) worked with Platinum Car Wash, LLC to develop a one bay automatic car wash at the corner of Delilah Road and New Road (US Route 9) in the City of Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey. The facility includes the car wash building, associated circulation elements, automated access control, stormwater management, and associated site amenities such as landscaping and lighting. The Car Wash was not a permitted use in the zoning district in which the site is located. As such, the project required a Use Variance to be granted by the Pleasantville Zoning Board.
The project was presented to the Zoning Board and granted a Use Variance and Preliminary and Final Site Plan approval in the same public hearing. The additional project approvals also obtained were from the Atlantic County Department of Regional Planning and Development, Cape Atlantic Conservation District and the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The state of the art automatic car wash facility opened for business in May of 2008.
